I was born in Danbury, CT in 1978 to the parents of Peter and Patricia Walrath. I am the youngest of four siblings. I attended the Rhode Island School of Design, receiving a BFA in 2000. As part of my undergraduate studies, I entered the European Honors Program, living and painting in Rome for one year. Upon graduation from RISD, I moved briefly to England (the North Yorkshire Moors), setting up a temporary studio in the top floor of a cottage, where I painted the english landscape. Upon returning to the states, I drove out to California before settling in Brooklyn for a year, during which time I traveled to Brazil and Mexico. In 2003, I ran out of money and fled the New York City area before it ate me alive. I have since resided in my home state of Connecticut where I work from my Danbury studio.
